How many days do you need in Egypt?
Seven to eight days covers Cairo, Giza and a Luxor–Aswan Nile cruise. Ten to fourteen adds Abu Simbel, Alexandria or the Red Sea. Under five days realistically covers Cairo and Giza only.
How should female tourists dress in Egypt?
There is no legal dress code for visitors. Covering shoulders and knees attracts less attention and is required inside mosques, where women also cover their hair. Loose long sleeves and light trousers are more comfortable than shorts in the heat.
